Vizualize and actualize

Having a visual reminder of maybe your kids, your spouse, that house or vacation you want, will serve as a constant reminder that you are working towards something more in your life and that you want to make a change to be better financially and mentally/emotionally. When you have something to work for and towards you are more likely to achieve your goals and reach your dreams.

Make a project board for what you want. Remember those science fairs from school where you made those large boards and filled them with pictures and such for your project bad the research you had complied together? Do that for your goals of being debt free or your goal of that vacation on the beach.

Keep a visible reminder with you. A picture of the beach, a trinket from your kids, even "keys" to the house you want. Put them somewhere where you will see them often. If there is a visual reminder if a financial goal on your bathroom mirror that's an excellent way to remind yourself to empty your change out if your pockets before bed. Or maybe put a picture of your dream house or family on your credit cards as way to rethink what you are purchasing when you pull that card out.

You can also create something that shows the amount of money you are looking to make disappear from your life.  If there is a monetary goal watching the balance lower is very exhilarating.  And the closer you get to achieving your goal the more likely you are to focus on it more aggressively to get it paid off. Keep focused and your eyes on the prize, you will get to your goal.
