A few years ago I went to an exhibit that presented the lives of others in poverty. This exhibit is called "Real life" exhibit. It explored how people live their lives in other countries and how lives are carried on after natural disasters as well as famine and AIDs.

I was so moved by this project that I wanted gifts of charity to be contributed and given to this resource.
Rather than gifts for my birthday I asked people to send me e-cards and pool that money together to contribute to a wonderful cause that could turn the money collected into helping others around the world and at "home".
We donated nearly $125 to help this wonderful service. This was a great way for my family to support something I was passionate about. It also got the younger kids involved. Where they would have normally not given me a gift they did hand me a handful orb2 of change to contribute to a cause I believed in.
If people know that you are trying to buy a car or visit an exotic
island in the near future they are more likely to give you gifts of cash
for holidays and other celebrations rather than buying you your 75th
scarf or tie. You just need to ask.
This is a great example of when you set you mind to it you can do wonderful things. Changing your life is merely 1 change away from where you are now.
