Cancel those unsed memberships

Disney Movie Club, your W.O.W account or that Farmville game, don't forget your magazine subscriptions that are piling up on your coffee table collecting dust and deducting your hard earned money out of you wallet. Also, that gym membership that you thought was a great deal. If you aren't using it, then lose it for good. You have lived without these luxuries of life for this long why not just give them up?

It happens far too often that a "great" deal comes along where you sign up to purchase something at a low price and then all you have to do it just buy more of that item during a certain time-frame and you are set. Sounds great, movies for $1, books or CD's for low prices. But then the inevitable happens, you forget about the membership. The items still arrive and you're still being charged, you intended on sending them back and getting a refund.... The days, weeks, months and eeek- years go by. You have a pile of things on your coffee table that you don't use, yet you've spent a very pretty penny on them.

We all at one point or another think that it's great to sign up for programs that will save us money, but we forget to cancel them or forget that they come out automatically from our bank accounts. These memberships pile up and can cost big money. Cancelling programs you thought were great to sign up for all of those money sucking items being deducted from your account each month.

I have seen this time and time again with gym memberships. You make that resolution and plan on losing that weight. Go to the gym set yourself up on a plan and almost never if ever go back. The good news for the gym is that they still get your money even if you don't ever get onto the treadmill. The intention was to shed pounds not shed money from your bank account.

**Try this- Gym hop. Most gyms will offer you some sort of free trial. They will inevitably try to get you to join, but you are not obligated to do so. If you want to work out then go- for free!!**

Cancel these club memberships, even if you think you might use them again someday. You might even be able to get some of the money back, don't be afraid to ask for what you want. Keep in mind that you can always renew the membership at a later date if it turns out that you actually do miss the service. Those memberships will cost you money in the long run and take up space in your house as well.
