Cruise savings

Saving on cruises- Do you know how to travel in style while saving serious money and having fun! From shore excursions to how to get free services while on board.

I have been on many cruises and have found great deals by both going directly through the cruiseline as well as using an outside source. You just need to know what it is that you are looking for and how to get the most for the amount that you will be spending on the cruise.

The ultimate way to travel is by having that pampered feeling and know that everything is taken care of. Your room will always be cleaned each day and room service will bring you anything day or night at no additional charge. You can always go relax by the pool or catch a show or a date night movie. If you're travelling with children there are many promotions that offer 3rd or 4th person discounts as well as daycare. There are beverage package deals that can save you hundreds of dollars or you can get credit towards your stateroom, automatic room upgrades, etc.

There are many great ways to book a cruise. Certainly signing up with a cruise line and receiving their emails is the best way to take advantage of the deals. There are also outside resources like cruises.com  which is my personal favorite to frequent for amazing packages and deals. I personally use both the direct to cruise line method as well as the .com option. Make sure that when you are booking either way that you ask about additional fees- fuel, taxes, tips..etc. Each option will have it's own extras that they add on. Not all of those fees are your responsibility, knowing what you do and don't have to pay for is important. I reference a blog by cruise critic to stay wise about what fes are and are not your responsibility.

Cruises are a great way to travel, enjoying a service that is all inclusive is the optimal way to save money and have an enjoyable vacation. They include everything- room and board, food, entertainment, destination ports, discounts at those ports, raffles and prizes just for being aboard the ship. I won a spa package valued over $300 on my last cruise just by putting my name in a raffle.

Often time there are free champagne meet and greets. You can find times to meet the captain by arriving early and listening to them speak about the voyage you are about to experience as the wait staff walks past you dropping off beverages. Art auctions are also excellent for free drinks. You don't have to bid on a piece of artwork to get the drinks for free, just sit and enjoy the fun while sipping champagne.

Cruises are fun and full of adventure. Having the ability to travel to exotic places at a fraction of regular travel costs is amazing and leaves you feeling satified from your vacation. Enjoy!
